I love a good challenge and enjoy constantly learning new skills. My love for the ocean has led me towards working in the resort, surf and swimwear industry throughout my career in fashion. I have been an apparel designer and textile designer for over 20 years while living in Hawaii, New York, California and now Portugal.
I am a designer with extensive expertise in graphic/textile design, apparel design, trend forecasting, garment construction, fabric knowledge and wash techniques. My broad range of experience has included action sports brands, a large department store chain and a design studio. I have worked within resort, sportswear, swim, outerwear, denim and accessories categories. I was also previously an owner and designer of a paper goods and accessories brand called Violet Flamingos.
